Wiyak helps people keep track of medicines, reminders and appointments, and lets trusted family help. Your care information stays on your phone unless you choose to use Family Access. We do not sell your information, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites.
The app stores your name, medicines and doses, reminders, appointments, daily check-ins, activity history and family contacts on your phone. This information does not leave your phone unless you turn on Family Access sync.
Reminders and dose alerts are scheduled on your phone as local notifications.
Family Access and buying a plan use an account: you sign in with Apple on iPhone, or with Google on Android. There is no password to choose. We store the account id and the email address that Apple or Google gives us (with Apple this can be a private relay address that hides your own) and the name shown to your family, so your access and your plan come back on a new phone. We store the name of each person whose care is shared.
When the owner of a care profile turns on sync, we store the care information from that phone: reminders, appointments, medicines, doses marked as taken, and check-ins and activity. We also store invitations (only the permissions offered and a one-way hash of the invite code, never the code itself), each person's permissions, and a history of who added, changed or removed what, and when.
Family members see only the parts the profile owner, or someone they allow, has permitted. An invite code alone is not enough: the family must say yes before anything is shared.
Subscriptions are sold by Apple or Google. Our provider RevenueCat receives your account id and your Wiyak purchase history so that the app and our servers know which plan you have. Your card details stay with Apple or Google; we never see them.
To improve the app we record which screens are opened and which buttons are used, through our provider PostHog. This never includes names, medicines, doses, notes or anything you type, and it is not linked to your account. You can turn it off in Settings at any time.
We use information only to provide the app's features: reminders, the family dashboard, Family Access and keeping those safe. Health information is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never sold or shared with data brokers.
The family members you invite, limited to their permissions.
Service providers that work on our behalf and may use the information only to provide their service: Supabase, which stores accounts and shared care information on servers in the European Union; RevenueCat, which tells us which plan an account has; and PostHog, which measures how the app is used (see "Subscriptions and how the app is used").
